The IXP (Protected Geographical Indications) of Galician wine are presented in the main cities of Galicia.

On Tuesday, October 10th, the first of the wine tunnels of the Protected Geographical Indications of Galicia will be held at the Diputación Provincial Building of Lugo.

Wines from all the IXP of Galicia will be tasted, including those from the newly added IXP Terras do Navia, to learn about their distinctive characteristics.

The following appointments will be:

  • On Monday, October 16th at the Marcos Valcárcel Cultural Center (Ourense): masterclass by Luis and Alejandro Paadín (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and wine tasting commented by Martiño Santos (at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.)
  • On Monday, October 23rd at MUTA (Vigo): masterclass by Luis and Alejandro Paadín (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and wine tasting commented by Martiño Santos (at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.)
  • On Monday, October 30th at the Paadín Tasting Classroom (A Coruña): masterclass by Luis and Alejandro Paadín (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and wine tasting commented by Martiño Santos (at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.)

This event takes place within the cooperation project for the development and promotion of the PGI of Galician wines, in which 6 Rural Development Groups and 16 wineries from different indications of Galicia cooperate. It is co-financed by the "Agencia Gallega de Desarrollo Rural de la Xunta de Galicia", the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development through the LEADER 19.3 Cooperation measure, from the "Programa de Desarrollo Rural de Galicia 2014-2020".
