This Wednesday the 18th, the exhibition "THE OCEANIC WINE ROUTE" was inaugurated at the GDR Pontevedra Morrazo facilities.
The "Oceanic Wine Route" is a wine-cultural itinerary of the IXP Ribeiras do Morrazo, focusing on the wine culture of the Morrazo peninsula and the Atlantic shores of Pontevedra, Redondela, and Poio. A wine tourism itinerary based on historical, anthropological, and economic realities centered around our winemaking tradition. A route inspired by the defining principles set by UNESCO for Cultural Itineraries, connecting different municipalities and regions deeply rooted in the culture of the wines and varieties of the IXP Ribeiras do Morrazo.
Mayors, councilors, and other representatives from the territory's municipalities, the wineries of the IXP, and numerous people linked to the world of wine and tourism attended the inauguration.
During the day, in addition to showcasing the values of the Route, attendees enjoyed a musical performance by Xabier Blanco and tasted wines from Ribeiras do Morrazo.
Upcoming activities
Between October 27th and November 24th, there will be 4 thematic events, each with a round table or discussion, a musical piece related to the topic of the colloquium, and guided tastings to sample and better understand the wines of Ribeiras do Morrazo.
